What is the Student Marketplace?
- The Student Marketplace is simply our name for the third parties whose books are available to you. It's a way we can give you a greater selection of books to ensure Bookbyte gets you exactly what you need.
What is a Marketplace Seller?
- A Marketplace Seller is a third party who sells their books through Bookbyte's website.
How do I contact the Marketplace Seller who fulfilled my order?
- The Marketplace Seller's email is provided in the order confirmation email and can also be found in My Account.
How do I become a Marketplace Seller?
Where are their books?
- The books are currently at the Marketplace Seller's place of business and will be shipped from there directly to you.
How are they shipped?
- Either by USPS (for ground) or by courier (for expedited shipping). It's your choice.
How long will it take for me to receive an order fulfilled by a Marketplace Seller?
- Allow up to three business days for processing, and then your order is on its way to you.
Does the Marketplace Seller receive and store my payment information?
- No. Bookbyte does not release your payment information to the Marketplace Seller
Order Cancellation
What is your return policy or refund policy?
- They are the same. You may return your book(s) for the purchase price for any reason up to 14 days from the time they reached your door. If we shipped you the wrong book, we will pay the return shipping fee. If you changed your mind about your order, you are responsible for the cost of returning the order to Bookbyte.
Why did my order get cancelled?
- Either because a) the item was no longer in stock at Bookbyte, or b) the Marketplace Seller who had the item already sold it to someone else while you were placing your order.
When will I receive a refund for a cancelled order?
It depends upon why your order was cancelled.
If you cancelled your order but the order has already shipped, your refund will be issued after a) you receive your shipment, b) you return your item(s) to us. We normally will issue the refund within one-business day of us receiving your shipment.
If the Marketplace Seller was unable to ship your item because it was no longer in stock, you will not receive a refund because you weren't charged for the item. You pay for the item once the Marketplace Seller confirms that it can fulfill your order and ship the item to you.
